The JumpRope grade book has really allowed for a number of different ways to track standards and students skills. There are many options for how each teacher can track their scores and it easily connects our learning targets to the specific units and assessments.
In our core Wellness Department we are separating our Habits of Learning and our Achievement Standards and Targets. This is great to be able to determine their actual knowledge of our content area and not have it skewed by their work habits. We still get to see their work habits and we assess in a separate score. We try to report on student progress at least every 4 weeks during the school year. The report breaks down student progress by standard so that students and parents can see how they are progressing toward the target. Here is an example of a progress report from my class.
